Family Reunions

Family reunions are fun. My husband’s family has them, and even we “outlaws” have a great time. But when it comes to my own family, a reunion is not something we do. Living in the Denver area offers a good substitute for me.

We are at a crossroads for the nation, and many relatives come through here on their way to somewhere else. That is when I get to see them. Just last weekend we had wonderful visits on Saturday with Tony’s brother and on Sunday with my aunt as they traveled through. We caught up on all the family news, and no one had to organize a party.

One Response to “Family Reunions”

  • Linda Reed Wagoner:

Teri, speaking of Reed family reunions and summer road trips, I wanted you to know that Dale Leo Reed’s youngest daughter, Debbie, was doing some ancestry research for her mother, Dorothy, and came across my email address on one of your or Mike Hayden’s postings. Thanks to the two of you, I have finally made contact with one of my siblings! She didn’t even know she had other siblings! I’m making a trip to Illinois and Missouri this summer and hope to meet more relatives. We’re also going to Deadwood, SD, too, so may not be too far from you. I only have the email address you gave me in 2008, which no longer works, so hoped to reach you on your blog.
